I'm enchanted by rhyme.
I love poetry, too, but I don't have the freewheeling spirit of a poet. I have a watchmaker's spirit, and its wheels are fixed precisely in their movement.
So I play with poetic forms. I want you to hear the rhyme scheme and the meter, the pattern and the heartbeat.
Is it poetry? I don't know. All I say is I write things that rhyme, or (perhaps you'd prefer) songs without tunes.
They're not always good, but they're always perfect.
